About LinkPilot
LinkPilot is a link-management product for two jobs that usually live in different tools: sending a password or a file with a link that burns after one view, and creating branded short links with click analytics. It is built and operated by TetraCore, LLC, a software studio in Ohio, USA.
Who builds LinkPilot
TetraCore, LLC is a software studio based in Ohio. LinkPilot is one of several products it builds and runs; the others are FourSight, CallsAround, Franexis, ItemStage and VoterCXM. The studio describes itself and the rest of its portfolio at tetracorehq.com/about. The legal documents on this site — Terms, Privacy and GDPR — are TetraCore's.
We do not publish a team page, headcount or customer list, and we would rather leave that space empty than fill it with placeholders. What we do publish is the product's security model, its pricing, and a transparency page, all linked below.
What LinkPilot is
Secret Links carry a password, an API key, a note or a file to one person. The content is encrypted in your browser before it is sent, the decryption key travels only in the part of the link after the #, and the first successful reveal burns the stored ciphertext. Paid plans add passphrase protection, custom expiry, revocation from a dashboard and a per-secret audit timeline. The anonymous free secret link generator needs no account.
Short links are the other half: branded short links on your own domain, custom slugs, QR codes, expiry and passphrase rules, routing by country, device or referrer through Rule Studio, and privacy-first click analytics in which visitor IPs are hashed daily rather than stored. Agencies get isolated client workspaces, white-label branding and rolled-up billing on the Agency plans.
Around both sit Drop Links, which let anyone send you an anonymous message that goes to your verified email and is never stored, and a set of apps — a Chrome extension and a Slack app today, Zapier in private beta, Firefox, Raycast and WordPress in store review — plus a REST API with a CLI, a TypeScript SDK and an MCP server documented for developers. What LinkPilot is not
- Not a password manager. It does not store, fill or sync credentials you keep. It hands one of them to someone else and then destroys the copy.
- Not a file-hosting service. An attachment is tied to a secret and goes away with it; there is no library of files to browse.
- Not ad-tech. Click analytics are aggregated, bot-filtered and based on hashed IPs. There are no recipient cookies, no retargeting, and secret contents are kept on a separate pipeline from analytics by design.
- Not a place where we can read your secrets — with one honest limit. Browser-side encryption shipped on 29 September 2026, so secrets created before that date were stored as plaintext until they expired. Secrets created through the Slack app or Zapier are encrypted by the integration's service in memory rather than in your browser, so the text does pass through that service on the way; those pages say so.
Trust, in writing
The security architecture page explains how a secret is created, revealed and destroyed, what metadata is logged, and where the limits are. The transparency page publishes aggregate safety metrics and explains how destination URLs are checked against threat feeds, how abuse reports are handled, and how Drop Links stay anonymous. Every workspace is isolated with database row-level security, and GDPR requests are handled within 30 days. The encryption code is published in the open-source CLI and SDK so it can be checked rather than believed.
