## How to share a secret without leaving a copy behind

Paste the text above and press the button. Your browser encrypts it with AES-GCM-256, keeps the key in the link after the #, and sends only ciphertext to LinkPilot. Send the link. The recipient opens it, presses reveal, reads the text, and the stored copy is destroyed in the same step. A secret shared this way exists in two places for a moment, your screen and theirs, and in no place after that.

## Sharing secrets of every kind

The creator takes any text: a Wi-Fi password for a guest, a door code, a recovery phrase you are handing to a family member, an API key for a developer, a message you would rather not have quoted back in a year. For a key or a config file, a free account lets you attach the file itself, encrypted the same way.

- A secret share expires unread after seven days; a free account lets you shorten that to one hour or 24 hours.
- A free account can revoke a link from the dashboard before it is opened.

## Why sharing a secret by chat or email is different

A message in Slack, WhatsApp or email is stored by the service, backed up, indexed and easy to forward, and it stays readable for as long as the account exists. A one-time link holds ciphertext that only the key in the link can open, and the first reveal makes every copy of the link useless. The thread still shows that something was sent; it no longer shows what.
